Our Story
This website was created so that long time Jimmy Buffett fans could relive some of the glory parrothead days before the internet. We are attempting to digitize the entire catalog of Coconut Telegraph newsletters that were mailed (yes - U.S. postal mail) to subscribers beginning in 1985 and running through approximately 2014. This is how Jimmy Buffett and Margaritaville communicated with parrotheads, and of course sold a lot of cool merchandise before everything was just a click away on the internet. We eagerly awaited each new issue. Our best guess is that 185 separate issues were sent out between 1985 and 2014.

well enjoy these for the very first time.
This website is a work in progress. It is a very time consuming process to locate, scan, and upload 183 unique issues of the Coconut Telegraph. Many issues in our possession still need to be scanned, and we still have quite a few gaps in our collection, particularly from the early years, that we need to locate. But we will persevere.
